Presentation title

PA153. Testing from Objectives in the Foundation Program

Abstract

Testing from objectives has been challenging for teachers and test designers. The presenter will describe how he investigated the relevance of using the course objectives and learning outcomes to test learners of English in the Foundation Program in Oman. Results of the study revealed that most often the objectives were not reflected in the different tests and that sometimes teachers perceived these objectives differently. Recommendations were made to make these objectives and outcomes more specific
