PA164. Professional Development Practices in HEI in Oman

Abstract

Teachers in higher education institutions (HEI) are encouraged to participate in professional development activities. However, it has been observed that many teachers are not in favor of it. If professional development is significant for teachers, then why do teachers resist it? Why are they not in favor of such activities?
