PA191. Correction: Myth and Reality

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to show the difference between the theoretical expectation of teacher correction and peer correction in writing in contrast to the learners’ perception to them. The participants are 113 graduate students from department of English in Al Buraimi University College. This qualitative study uses questionnaire to generate data. The findings show that there is a serious discrepancy between what theorists suggest and what learners’ view on correction in writing.
