PA216. Investigating Factors Responsible for Grade Inflation in Colleges

Abstract

This study investigates the factors responsible for grade inflation in college education. The findings from surveys have shown that instructors believe that institutional and instructional factors such as student evaluations are the main factor behind grade inflation. 40 college instructors were surveyed about factors which might cause this problem. Some suggestions and recommendations will be presented to solve this problem. The audience will be involved in discussing all these factors and possible solutions.
