Presentation title

PA95. ”Do you ride camels to college?”

Abstract

In this presentation the presenters showcase a series of successful virtual international exchanges (VIEs) between HCT - Dubai Women’s Campus students and Japanese university students.  Using VIE video footage and student feedback the presenters demonstrate the effectiveness of VIEs for developing both language and intercultural competency; core skills required for multicultural workplaces (common in the GCC).  The steps required for participants to run their own VIEs are outlined.
