PO106. Professional Burnout

Abstract

Professional burnout is a set of negative emotional and behavioural symptoms in workers in the helping profession. It increases where there is too much expectation with little support, or motivation. Teachers can also suffer from the pressures of dealing with students with difficult behaviour on a daily basis. This poster aims to sensitize participants on the need to provide a self-motivated mechanism for prevention of teacher burnout to protect both the teacher and learners.
