PO9. Reciprocal Teaching in Reading Classes: Challenges and Pathways

Abstract

This poster aims to give an overview of the reciprocal teaching technique in language classrooms and its effectiveness in increasing the reading comprehension of less competent readers. Based on the related literature and the observations obtained from her voluntary work as a tutor in an elementary in Indiana, the poster highlights the major challenges faced when implementing this technique. It also suggests recommendations to make the use of reciprocal teaching a rewarding learning experience
