WS10. Planning Well Leads to Success

Abstract

This workshop discusses the teaching of the four skills plus grammar and vocabulary. It shows the proper planning and what kinds of stages teachers should include in their lessons preparation. Participants will have the chance to prepare a lesson themselves. Furthermore, it gives feedback and discuss appropriate solutions for obstacles teachers  face while teaching. The workshop will end up by giving some valuable and beneficial tips that would help teachers to do better in the teaching process and would also help students to self-study. Student-centered is the core in teaching and learning and teachers act as facilitators.

Naif  Salem Khamis AlAbri, Mr.
Ministry of Education, Sultanate of Oman
Naif AlAbri has taught English Language for 12 years.He has
been a Regional English Supervisor for 2 years.He holds an
MA in TESOL from USQ and a CELTA certificate. He
graduated from SQU in 2000. He has conducted many workshops in different regions in Oman.

Saif Rashid Salem AlMoqbali, Mr.
Ministry of Education,Sultanate of Oman
Saif AlMoqbali has taught English Language for 10years.He has been
a Regional English Supervisor for 2 years.He has a CELTA certificate. He
graduated from SQU in 2003.He has conducted many workshops in different regions in Oman.
